Self-Momentum: The New Currency of Meaning | Eugene Dela Cruz | TEDxAteneodeManilaU
Love changes as people grow, shaped by memory, biology, culture and personal choice. The talk asks whether love is something people create or something that is destined, and argues that love works as momentum that carries people through loss, growth and the search for meaning. Eugene Dela Cruz, a business analyst and Ateneo Class of 2025 Economics graduate who once lived on the street, shares his perspective. The talk was given at an independently organized TEDx event.

- Speaker Eugene Dela Cruz and his path from street dweller to business analyst
Love becomes more complex as we grow, shaped by memory, biology, culture, and choice. In that complexity, we ask whether love is created or destined. Ultimately, love is momentum: it carries us through loss, growth, and meaning. Eugene Dela Cruz, an Honorable Mention graduate of Ateneo Class of 2025 in Economics (Honors Program), also earned Third Best Undergraduate Thesis in his batch. Once a street dweller, he defied the odds through resilience and perseverance, and now works as a business analyst at Kearney. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
