Father and son die after being buried by soil at water pipe site in Anjo, Aichi

A water pipe construction site in Anjo, Aichi Prefecture, was the scene of an accident in which workers were buried under soil. According to police and other reports, at about 1 p.m. on the 29th, Hidehiko Okada (51), who runs an equipment company, was found buried underground, and his son Sota (23) and a male worker were buried as well while trying to rescue him. The male worker climbed out on his own with minor injuries, but Sota was confirmed dead at the hospital. Okada was rescued about eight and a half hours later and was confirmed dead at the scene.

愛知県安城市で水道管の工事をしていた親子ら3人が土砂に生き埋めになり、親子2人が死亡しました。 　警察などによりますと29日午後1時ごろ、安城市の工事現場で岡田英彦さん（51）が地中で土砂に埋もれているのを息子の颯太さん（23）と男性作業員の2人が見つけました。 　2人は救助に向かいましたが、2人とも土砂に埋もれたということです。 　このうち男性作業員は自力で地上に上がり軽傷でしたが、颯太さんは搬送先の病院で死亡が確認されました。 　岡田さんは約8時間半後に救助されましたが、その場で死亡が確認されました。 　岡田さんは設備会社を経営していて、従業員の颯太さんと男性作業員とともに水道管の工事をしていたということです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
