Autumn Garden Party – Princess Kako in traditional Japanese attire

Footage from the autumn garden party held at the Akasaka Imperial Gardens shows Princess Kako in bright, seasonal traditional Japanese attire. She is seen chatting with guests and smiling despite the cloudy sky. Around 1,400 people, including the prime minister, prefectural governors and achievers from various fields, attend the event. The program includes performances by the Imperial Household Agency musicians and the Imperial Palace Police band.

天皇皇后両陛下が主催する秋の園遊会が始まり、俳優の吉田鋼太郎さんなどが招かれています。 29日午後、赤坂御苑では秋の園遊会が開かれ、総理大臣や都道府県の知事、各界の功績者などおよそ1400人が出席しています。 今年は各分野の功績者として俳優の吉田鋼太郎さんや宇宙飛行士の大西卓哉さん、「ディー・エヌ・エー」代表取締役社長の南場智子さんなどが招かれていて、天皇皇后両陛下や愛子さまをはじめ、その他の皇族方と懇談される予定です。 会場ではオードブルなどの料理やお酒が振る舞われるほか、宮内庁楽部による管絃や皇宮警察音楽隊による吹奏楽の演奏が行われます。
