Man injured in bear attack in Shūnan, Yamaguchi, witness describes scene

A man in his 50s was attacked by a bear while jogging in Shūnan, Yamaguchi Prefecture, at about 6:15 a.m. on the 8th, according to police. He was bitten on the back of his right hand and his right calf and is not in life-threatening condition. The bear, roughly 1 meter long, left the area after the attack. An elementary school is near the site, and police are patrolling the area in patrol cars.

ジョギング中の男性がクマに襲われ、けがをしました。現場の近くには小学校があり、警察がパトカーで警戒にあたっています。また、通報した人が当時の状況を語りました。 通報した人 「言葉になっていないような声がしたのでのぞいてみたら、男性が四つんばいのような状態で倒れていた。手と足、全身も痛いと言っていた」 　警察によりますと、8日午前6時15分ごろ、山口県周南市でジョギングをしていた50代の男性がクマに襲われました。 　男性は右手の甲や右足のふくらはぎをかまれましたが、命に別状はありません。 　クマは体長1メートルほどで、男性を襲った後、立ち去ったということです。 　通報した人によりますと、襲われた男性は当時、かなり動揺していて会話が難しい状態だったということです。 　現場の近くには小学校があり、警察がパトカーで警戒にあたっています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
