Bookstore clerk stabbed in Osaka's Umeda district

A clerk at a bookstore in Umeda, a busy entertainment district in Osaka, was stabbed and taken to hospital by ambulance. The 23-year-old is reported to be conscious. Police arrested a 33-year-old man of unknown occupation who was sitting near the scene on suspicion of injuring another person, and seized the knife. The suspect reportedly said he harbored resentment toward society as a whole.

大阪・梅田の繁華街にある書店で店員が刺され、救急搬送されました。警察は事件後、店内に座り込んでいた男を現行犯逮捕しました。 　8日午前11時15分ごろ、大阪市北区にある書店で「包丁で刺された」と男性店員（23）から警察に通報がありました。 　警察によりますと、男性店員は左太ももを包丁で刺されて救急搬送されました。 　意識はあるということです。 　警察は、現場近くに座り込んでいた職業不詳の男（33）を傷害の疑いで現行犯逮捕し、包丁を押収しました。 　男性店員は後ろから体当たりされ、振り向いた時には刺されていたということです。 　男は「間違いありません」「社会全体に恨みがあった」と話しているということです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
