Sato Shun scores personal best 101.97 to place 2nd in GP China men's short program

Japanese skater Sato Shun scored 101.97 points in the men's singles short program at the 2026 Figure Skating Grand Prix Series third event in China, setting a personal best and placing second. Sato, a bronze medallist at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, competed in his first GP Series event of the season. He landed all his jumps, including a 4 Lutz at the start of the program, and finished without a major error. Miura Kao led with 102.90 points, while Yevgeny Semenenko was third with 99.72.

11月6日、フィギュアスケートグランプリシリーズ2026の第3戦中国大会男子シングルのショートプログラム（SP）が行われました。 ミラノ・コルティナ冬季オリンピック銅メダルの佐藤駿選手がGPシリーズ初戦となりました。 演技冒頭、佐藤選手の代名詞ともいえる4ルッツを美しく決め、続くジャンプもすべて成功。後半の曲のテンポが上がると同時に始まる高速ステップは躍動感にあふれていました。スピンとステップでレベルの取りこぼしがあったもののノーミスの演技で終え、控えめなガッツポーズも見えました。 演技後の日下コーチは大喜び。キスアンドクライでは緊張した面持ちで得点を待つ二人の姿がありました。得点は101.97点で自己ベストを更新。佐藤選手は得点が出た瞬間には驚きと喜びの入り混じった表情になりました。その横で本人よりも驚く日下コーチの姿もありました。 「自分でも、想像以上の出来でできていた。練習を含めても一番いいルッツが本番で跳べたかなと思う。」 目標としていた100点を超え、フリーでは盟友・三浦佳生選手を0.93点差で追いかけます。 男子シングルSP 結果 1位　　三浦佳生（かお）選手（日本）　102.90点　 2位　　佐藤駿選手（日本）　101.97点 3位　 エフゲニー・セメネンコ選手（AIN2）　99.72点 ※この映像にはナレーションはありません。ご了承ください。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
