Brand goods shop embezzlement suspect, 47, arrested; linked to Saitama robbery probe

A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling 300,000 yen from a safe at a brand goods buy-back shop in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. Police are investigating whether he was involved in a robbery in which about 1.5 million yen was stolen from an affiliated shop in Nagatoro, Saitama Prefecture. The suspect admitted to the embezzlement, citing money problems, and reportedly hinted at involvement in the robbery. Police are considering formal charges related to the robbery.

群馬県にあるブランド品買い取り店の金を横領したとして、47歳の男が逮捕されました。警察は、この男が埼玉県であった強盗事件に関与しているとみて捜査しています。 　埼玉県長瀞町の自営業・平和也容疑者は9月、自身が勤務する群馬県高崎市のブランド品買い取り店で金庫にあった30万円を横領した疑いが持たれています。 　警察によりますと、長瀞町にある買い取り店の系列店で現金およそ150万円が奪われた強盗事件を捜査するなかで、高崎市の店での横領事件が明らかになり、平容疑者の自宅を捜索したところ、強盗事件と関連する可能性があるバールや粘着テープ、現金が見つかったということです。 　平容疑者は、高崎市の店の前に強盗事件があった長瀞町の店でも勤務していたということです。 　平容疑者は、横領事件について「借金の返済で生活費に困っていた」と容疑を認めていて、強盗事件に関しても「強盗目的で入った」と関与をほのめかしているということです。 　警察は、強盗事件での立件も視野に捜査を進めています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
