Once inside, officers surrounded Williams near an elevator and repeatedly ordered him to drop the knife. They attempted to stop him with Tasers, but the effort appeared unsuccessful, with officers noting that his clothing may have limited their effectiveness. Williams remained armed and, after leaving the elevator, moved toward officers while still holding the knife. At that point, two officers opened fire, striking Williams in the upper body. Video released by the Chicago Civilian Office of Police Accountability shows officers immediately moving to secure Williams and provide medical assistance before he was taken from the hotel and transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Two officers were also taken to a hospital for observation, and investigators recovered a knife at the scene. Williams was later charged with weapons offenses and aggravated assault involving police, although those charges were eventually dropped. He remained critically injured following the shooting and died several months later on July 26, 2025, according to the reports. COPA's release of body-camera footage, surveillance video, police records and other investigative materials had been delayed by a court order, but the order was no longer in effect when the materials were made public. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Clood' - Efrain - 'The Fraternal Order book' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
