Child seat rules may extend to shorter children aged 6 and over, under review
Japan's National Police Agency is considering expanding the child seat requirement to cover children who are short for their age. An expert panel to discuss whether children aged 6 and over with short stature should be included is expected to be set up next month. Any expansion of the age or height range would require amending the Road Traffic Act. The report is sourced from TV Asahi News via the CANLI ANNnewsCH channel.
