China's 3D printer industry booms as exports double

3D printers are growing rapidly in China, which is focusing on high-tech industries. Government statistics released on the 18th show exports from January to September rose 105% from the same period last year. The report features Bamboo Labs, a Chinese newcomer, whose Shanghai store displays 3D-printed city models, figures and vases. Retail prices start from the 20,000-yen range per unit.
