China-linked hacker group uses AI in cyberattacks on hundreds of organizations worldwide, Microsoft says
Microsoft announced that a hacking group linked to the Chinese government used artificial intelligence to target hundreds of organizations around the world. According to the company, the group, called Storm-0940, used an AI tool named ARTEX to automatically scan for targets from September onward. The attacks reportedly included up to 2,900 login attempts per minute. The report does not disclose any attacks on Japanese companies, and the Chinese embassy in the United States rejected the accusations.
