Do Daraa Strikes Threaten the Jordan-Syria Strategic Partnership? - What Lies Behind the News

This episode of Al Jazeera's program What Lies Behind the News examines the fallout from Jordanian strikes on sites in Daraa province in southern Syria. The discussion covers the security considerations that led Amman to carry out the operation, and Damascus's position between defending sovereignty and preserving bilateral ties. It also looks at ways to contain the dispute and keep the strategic partnership announced during the two countries' meeting in Aqaba five days earlier.
