Education Minister Yoshihiro Seki apologised for holding political fundraising parties in the Diet members' office building, a venue prohibited by internal rules. He said he had held such parties in 2020 and 2024 in a conference room and in his own office there. According to political funding reports, roughly 90 percent of the costs of each event were recorded as profit. Seki said he had not studied enough and that the funds would be used for political activities.

関芳弘文部科学大臣が、内規で禁じられている議員会館で政治資金パーティーを開いていたことについて「猛省したい」と謝罪しました。 関芳弘文科大臣 「今後このようなことがないように猛省し、十分注意して参りたいと思います。どうも申し訳ございませんでした」 　関文科大臣は2020年と2024年、内規で禁じられている議員会館の会議室や自室で、政治資金パーティーを開いていました。 　政治資金収支報告書によりますと、2020年は244万円の収入に対し支出が4万6424円、2024年は81万円の収入に対し支出が8万1957円と、それぞれ開催費用のおよそ9割が利益になっていました。 　関大臣は「勉強不足だった」とし、得た資金については「政治活動に使っていく」と述べました。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
