Elon Musk says Starlink is being “blocked in India". The company’s own “placeholder price" of Rs 8,600 per month points to a different hurdle: cost. Musk made a claim on X, replying to a post that argued Starlink could reach underserved Indian communities. He called “blocking the service… a crime against the people of India". Starlink has not launched in India. It has not announced an official price yet. However, the company has already hinted what the pricing could be. Now, India’s close neighbour, Bangladesh, has had Starlink services since May 20, 2025.
