Compound That Reduces Aging Cells Found in Kinmizuhiki Leaves by FANCL

Health food company FANCL says it has discovered, for the first time in the world, a compound in the leaves of Kinmizuhiki, a rosaceous plant used in tea and tempura, that reduces human aging cells. According to researcher Tomonori Watanabe of FANCL's Research Institute, adding Kinmizuhiki extract to aging cells stained blue reduced their number. A survey of more than 600 men and women aged 40 to under 60 also suggested that a higher share of aging cells may be linked to lower immune function. Supplements containing Kinmizuhiki are already moving toward commercial production.
