Large protests planned across France; Paris prepares for unrest with extra security

Large-scale protests are planned across France on the 24th, while Paris prepares for possible sudden unrest. In Paris, a major march organised by labour unions is set to leave from Bastille Square on a route approved by police, and shops along the route are taking precautions against looting and damage. Interior Minister Nuñez said on the 23rd that some radical groups were calling on social media for attacks on public facilities and looting. The government plans to deploy about 70,000 police officers and gendarmes.

フランス各地で24日に大規模なデモ活動が予定されているなか、パリ市内では突発的な暴動に備えた準備が進められています。 　パリでは24日、労働組合などの呼び掛けでバスティーユ広場から警察に認められたルートで大規模なデモ行進が予定されています。 　ルートになっている周辺の店舗などではデモに便乗した破壊や略奪行為の被害にあわないよう「暴動対策」に追われています。 デモルート周辺店舗の店員 「今ここに見えるようなドア用の板を取り付けるなんてことは完全に異例です。今まで一度もやったことがありません」 「先週末に起きたことを考えると、何が起こるか分かりませんからね。何事もなく無事に終わることを願っています」 　ヌニェス内務相は23日、デモ活動を前に「一部の過激派集団がSNSなどで公共施設への攻撃や略奪などを呼び掛けている」と明かしました。 　政府は約7万人の警察官と憲兵を動員して対応にあたる予定です。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
