Personal data of 4.45 million Furusato Choice members leaked

TrustBank, which operates the Furusato Choice hometown tax donation site, announced that about 4.45 million pieces of member personal data were leaked to the outside through unauthorized access. Suspicious access was detected on the 17th, and related services were temporarily suspended from the afternoon of the 19th, with no restoration timeline yet. The leaked information includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and estimated donation tax deduction amounts, which could allow members' annual incomes to be roughly calculated. 大手ふるさと納税仲介サイト「ふるさとチョイス」を運営するトラストバンクは不正アクセスによって個人情報約445万件が外部に流出したと発表しました。 　トラストバンクは17日にふるさとチョイスに不正アクセスの疑いが検知されたため、19日午後から関連するサービスを一時的に停止しています。 　現在、復旧のめどは立っていません。 　その後の調査で、現時点でふるさとチョイス会員の個人情報445万4097件の外部流出が確認されたということです。 　流出した情報には氏名や住所、メールアドレス、電話番号などのほか、寄附控除の試算額が含まれているため、そこから会員の年収がある程度、逆算される恐れがあります。 　また、件数や流出した情報の内容については調査によって変動する可能性があるとしていて、今後さらに拡大する恐れもあります。 　21日に所轄の警察署へ被害を申告する予定で、「関係機関による調査・捜査にも全面的に協力して参ります」とコメントしています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
