H3 rocket No. 10 launches successfully – MMX Mars moons probe

The H3 rocket No. 10 lifted off from Tanegashima Space Center and successfully placed the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) probe into its planned orbit. MMX aims to reach Mars's moon Phobos and bring back sand and rock samples over roughly five years, a first-of-its-kind mission. About 300 astronomy enthusiasts watched the launch in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture.
