Court revokes bail for Han Hak-ja, Seoul High Court (November 3, 2026)

On November 3, the Seoul High Court revoked the bail granted to Han Hak-ja, leader of the Unification Church, on suspicion that she violated bail conditions. Han had been released last month on bail due to her age and health, on the condition that she reside at a Seoul hospital where she was receiving treatment. Korean media reported that after her release she left the hospital almost every morning to visit a church facility in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. She will be returned to detention.

韓国の裁判所は3日午後、旧統一教会の総裁の韓鶴子（ハンハクチャ）被告について、保釈の条件に違反している疑いがあるとして保釈決定を取り消しました。 　韓被告は先月19日、高齢や健康上の理由から保釈が認められ、治療を受けていたソウル市内の病院を住居とする条件で釈放されていました。 　しかし、韓国メディアによりますと、韓被告は保釈後ほぼ毎朝、病院を離れて京畿（キョンギ）道・加平（カピョン）にある教団施設を訪れていたということです。 　ソウル高等裁判所は今月3日、保釈の取り消しを決めました。 　再び拘置所に収容されることになります。 　韓被告を巡っては、尹錫悦（ユンソンニョル）前政権に金品を贈った政治資金法違反などの罪に問われ、1審で懲役2年の実刑判決を受け、控訴審が続いています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
