Autumn aerial walk by gondola: Foliage peaks at Hunter Mountain Shiobara

At the Hunter Mountain Shiobara ski resort in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture, larch and beech trees on the slopes have turned red and yellow, reaching their peak. Visitors have been enjoying the so-called aerial walk, viewing the colors from a gondola and the scenery from the 1,640-meter summit. The foliage is expected to move gradually toward the foothills until mid-next month. Gondola operations this season are scheduled to run until the 8th of next month.

栃木県那須塩原市のスキー場では、色づいた紅葉をゴンドラから見下ろす「空中散歩」が人気を集めています。 　那須塩原市にある「ハンターマウンテン塩原」では、ゲレンデの斜面にあるカラマツやブナの葉が赤や黄色に色づき、見頃を迎えています。 　このスキー場では毎年、紅葉シーズンに合わせてゴンドラを運行していて、上空から秋の景色を満喫することができます。 　朝から雲が広がる天気となりましたが、たくさんの観光客がゴンドラから見下ろす鮮やかな紅葉や標高1640メートルの山頂からの雄大な景色を楽しんでいました。 観光客 「（Q.紅葉を見て）きれいでした」 「素晴らしいですね。雲海も出て、きれいです」 ハンターマウンテン塩原 オペレーショングループ　秋元結凪さん 「今年はきれいに山麓から山頂まで色づいていまして、カラマツが今年、きれいに色づいております。ゴンドラの中に乗っている時から色づいている葉っぱがきれいに見えまして、車椅子でご来場のお客様にもお楽しみいただけますので、空中散歩もお楽しみいただければと思います」 　「ハンターマウンテン塩原」では、山頂から中腹にかけて紅葉のピークを迎えています。 　紅葉は来月中旬にかけて徐々に麓へと進んでいく見込みで、今シーズンのゴンドラの運行は、来月8日まで予定されています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
