Iranian journalist says Iran has shifted to an offensive-defensive doctrine and will not wait for US strikes

Mukhtar Haddad, editor-in-chief of the Iranian newspaper Al-Wefaq, denied leaks by US media about Iran's military plans. He said Tehran states its position publicly and does not need leaks to do so. Haddad argued that any future confrontation would not be short-lived as Washington assumes, and that Tehran would determine how the war ends. He also referred to an offensive-defensive military doctrine that would allow preemptive strikes against US bases and Israel.
