32 UK government services down and 4 partially disrupted amid cyber security threat

UK Technology Minister Baroness Lloyd announced that 32 government services had gone offline and four others were partially disrupted due to a cyber security threat linked to the PHP programming language. An urgent software update was released for government and commercial websites worldwide to address security vulnerabilities in this widely used language. The UK government said it is closely monitoring the situation and working with departments to protect the security, resilience and availability of public services.
