Israel's 'first AI election' warning: parties' AI-driven negative campaigns may sway voters
Two days before Israel's general election, parties are running negative campaigns that use generative AI, and experts warn these could influence how people vote. Open University monitors generative AI content posted on social media during the campaign around the clock. Of 50,000 items reviewed, about 15 percent used AI, and Professor Anat Ben David calls it the first AI election. She says roughly a quarter of Likud's posted content used AI.
