JR Uchibo Line fully resumes service after Typhoon No. 25 disruption

The JR Uchibo Line, which had suspended operations on some sections due to Typhoon No. 25, fully resumed service on the morning of November 8 after about six weeks. Soil had flowed onto the tracks in September, and JR East had initially said service would take at least three months to restore. Thanks to steady progress on repair work, the line reopened earlier, and the replacement bus service has ended.

台風25号の影響で一部区間で運転を見合わせていたJR内房線が8日午前、およそ1カ月半ぶりに全線で再開しました。 　JR内房線は9月の台風25号の影響で線路に土砂が流入し、一部区間で運転を見合わせていました。 　JR東日本は当初、運転再開まで少なくとも3カ月かかる見込みと発表していましたが、工事が順調に進んだことで、今月8日午前10時ごろ、およそ1カ月半ぶりに全線で再開しました。 利用者 「通勤がちょっと面倒だったので、あすからちゃんと通えて良かったです」 「ホッとした。安心しました。色々とサポートして下さった皆様に感謝します」 　再開を受け、バスによる代行輸送は終了しました。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
