Kanto Weather: Coldest Morning of the Season Ahead, Clear Skies Through Daytime

The Kanto region of Japan has begun to take on a wintry feel on Risshun, the start of winter in the traditional calendar. Some areas of Tochigi saw solid snowfall. The morning of the 8th is expected to be the coldest of the season so far, with temperatures below freezing in the northern mountain foothills and a warning about icy roads. The forecast also covers the week ahead, with daily lows in single digits in Tokyo and rain expected on the 9th.

7日は立冬です。天気には冬らしさが出てきました。栃木県では、しっかりと雪が降った所もあったんです。 　8日の朝は冬を感じる寒さになりそうです。気温分布を見ると、北部は平野部も5℃未満、南部も一桁の所が多くなりそうです。最低気温は北部の山沿いで氷点下、路面凍結にご注意下さい。 　平野部も今シーズン一番の冷え込みで、宇都宮4℃、水戸、八王子5℃、東京で10℃の予想です。 　そして、週明け東京は毎日一桁の冷え込みで、11日は7℃。東京で10℃を下回るのはおよそ半年ぶりのことなんです。最高気温も低くなります。9日は14℃、10日は13℃で師走並み。昼間も厚手の上着が必要になりそうです。 　この先、北部では霜の降りる冷え込みが続きますので、農作物の管理にご注意下さい。 　8日は広く晴れますので、冬の布団や毛布などを準備すると良さそうです。来週は晴れる日が多いですが、9日は広く雨が予想されています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
