Snow Season Arrives: First Skiing at Karuizawa Ski Resort as Artificial Snow Progresses

The Prince Hotel Ski Resort in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, held the earliest slope opening in the prefecture. The resort began operations on October 31, and many visitors who had been waiting for the day enjoyed their first runs. Artificial snow-making started on October 3, and the work progressed smoothly thanks to little rain and morning temperatures lower than usual for the season.
