Meiko Hata and Toma Ikuta join Disney voice cast: what they would do in a wizard world

Meiko Hata and Toma Ikuta appeared at an event in Shibuya to announce their Japanese voice roles in the Disney animated film Billy and the Beginning of Magic. Hata will voice Billy, a high school student who discovers magical powers, while Ikuta will voice Beef Roger Clumchuck, Billy's magician partner. Asked what they would do in the film's wizard world, Ikuta said he would like to fly and Hata said she would take as many photos as possible.

畑芽育さん（24）と生田斗真さん（42）が、魔法使いの世界でやりたいことを明かしました。 生田さん 「学生時代、毎日のように渋谷をうろついていたので、庭でしたから」 畑さん 「渋谷が庭だった！？」 生田さん 「庭でした」 畑さん 「かっこいい～！」 　2人が登場したのは、渋谷で行われたディズニーアニメーション「ビリーと魔法のはじまり」の日本版声優発表イベントです。 　この作品は、ルールに縛られず自分らしくいられる場所を探していた高校生のビリーが、魔法の力に目覚める物語。 　畑さんはビリー、生田さんは魔法使いのパートナー、ビーフ・ロジャー・クラムチャックの日本版声優を務めます。 生田さん 「声優のお仕事っていうのは、今回初めてなんですよね。ずっと待っていたんですよ。誰か私を見つけてって、ずっと思っていたんですけど、ディズニーが見つけてくれました」 　映画の中の魔法使いの世界に行ったら何をしたいか聞かれた生田さんはこう答えました。 「空を飛びたい！これはもう本当に子供のころからの夢ですからね」 　一方、畑さんは…。 「めちゃくちゃ写真映えしそうなので、撮れるだけ写真撮って帰ろうかなと思いました」 （「グッド！モーニング」2026年10月29日放送分より） [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
