Miura Kao rallies from 9th place in SP to 2nd in Grand Prix France men's free skate

On October 25, the men's singles free skate was held at the first stage of the 2026 Figure Skating Grand Prix Series in France. Kao Miura, a Milano Cortina Olympic representative, had placed 9th in the short program and finished 2nd overall after his free skate. He fell on his opening 4T but landed his 3Axel and a combination jump containing a quadruple jump. In a post-performance interview, he said encouragement from those around him led him to believe in himself, and he outlined his goals for the next event in China.
