Moroccan Parliament welcomes end of MINURSO mandate

Both chambers of the Moroccan Parliament, the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors, held a joint session to discuss recent developments on the Western Sahara issue. The session followed the UN Security Council's failure to extend the mandate of the MINURSO mission. Party representatives described the decision as a historic turning point for the issue. They called for building on Security Council resolution 2797 and called for the return of refugees from the Tindouf camps.
