Job turnover within three years of graduates: 31.2% for university and 36.9% for high school graduates (Japan MHLW, Oct 23, 2026)

The three-year job turnover rate for new graduates who started work in March 2023 was 31.2% for university graduates and 36.9% for high school graduates, according to the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. University graduates' rate fell 2.6 points from the previous year, while high school graduates' rate fell 1 point. Accommodation and food services, living-related and entertainment services, and education and learning support showed particularly high rates. The ministry said it will continue support for workplace retention and job placement.

2023年3月の新卒者の就職後3年以内の離職率が大卒で31.2％、高卒で36.9％だったことが分かりました。 　厚生労働省によりますと、2023年3月の大卒者の就職後3年以内の離職率は前の年度から2.6ポイント低下し、31.2％でした。 　高卒者は前の年度から1ポイント低下し、36.9％でした。 　高卒、大卒ともに職場の従業員数が多いほど離職率が低い傾向にあります。 　産業別で見ると、「宿泊業・飲食サービス業」「生活関連サービス業・娯楽業」「教育・学習支援業」で離職率が特に高くなっています。 　大卒者の就職3年での離職率は、IT企業やインターネットサービスが急成長した1990年代半ばから2000年代初頭にかけて5割ほどでしたが、リーマン・ショックが起きた2008年ごろから4割弱で推移しています。 　厚労省は「新卒者の職場定着支援や離職者に対する就職支援を引き続き行っていく」としています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
