Qatari delegation in Tehran to narrow differences with Washington

A Qatari delegation has arrived in Tehran to continue negotiations between Iran and the United States and to narrow differences between the two sides. The main point of disagreement is an Iranian proposal to shorten the response period to Iran's seven demands from seven days to two, and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz before nuclear talks begin. Washington has not objected to this format but has conditioned any agreement on international inspectors gaining access to nuclear facilities. Tehran rejects that condition and is currently examining a new formula.
