It stated that mediation between the United States and Iran is ongoing and that Doha is working to end the escalation. The ministry called on Iran to respect international law on freedom of navigation, open the Strait of Hormuz and halt attacks targeting it. It also warned that an internet shutdown would harm all countries in the region, including Iran.
