Prosecutors seek life sentences for two suspects in serial robbery case
Prosecutors have requested life imprisonment for two men accused of carrying out a series of robberies in the Tokyo metropolitan area. The defendants, Fujii Shu (28) and Kubota Rikuto (23), are charged over robberies in Kanagawa and Chiba, including a case in Yokohama where a man died at a residence. The defense has argued that the two were threatened by instructors and could not refuse. The verdict is scheduled to be announced next month on the 6th.
