Step Golf data breach: lesson records and bank details possibly leaked

Step Golf, which operates indoor golf schools at more than 160 locations across Japan, has reported unauthorized access that may have exposed up to 215,000 records of personal data. The information potentially affected includes bank account numbers and account holder names, lesson records, and facial photos. According to the company, an abnormality in its system was detected on the 5th of this month, and the investigation confirmed unauthorized access. Earlier unauthorized access on the 23rd and 25th of last month was also reported.

全国にゴルフスクールを展開する「ステップゴルフ」で不正アクセスがあり、銀行の口座情報やレッスンのカルテなど、最大で21万件を超える個人情報が漏洩（ろうえい）した可能性があることが分かりました。 　ステップゴルフは全国に160店舗以上の室内型のゴルフスクールを展開しています。 　ステップゴルフによりますと、情報漏洩の可能性があるのは銀行の口座番号や名義、レッスンカルテや顔写真などで、最大で21万5000件に上るとしています。 　今月5日にシステムの異常を検知し調査したところ、不正アクセスがあったことが判明しました。 　先月23日や25日にも不正アクセスが確認されたということです。 　ステップゴルフは銀行口座に身に覚えのない引き落としなどがないか確認を呼び掛けるとともに、対象者には個別に連絡するとしています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
