Suica Penguin bag sales paused at Kinokuniya due to high demand

Supermarket chain Kinokuniya announced that it has temporarily suspended sales of the Suica Penguin mascot bag, which went on sale from the 5th. The company said access exceeded expectations and purchasing had remained difficult. Sales are planned to resume through a lottery application process. スーパーマーケットの紀ノ国屋は、5日から販売を開始した「Suicaのペンギン マスコットバッグ」について、一時販売を休止したと発表しました。 　想定を超えるアクセスが集中し、購入しにくい状況が続いたためだと説明しています。 　この商品はペンギンのマスコットにファスナー付きの収納スペースが備えられたもので、買い物に使えるエコバッグが収納されています。 　紀ノ国屋は今後、抽選申し込みによって販売を再開する予定だということです。 　JR東日本の「Suicaのペンギン」は、来年3月末で卒業することが発表されています。 （「グッド！モーニング」2026年11月7日放送分より）
