The humanitarian crisis in the Yemeni city of Taiz is deepening as Houthi forces tighten their siege of the city since October and cut its last main supply route. The blockade has led to acute shortages of food, water, fuel and medicine and has hindered humanitarian aid. International organisations, including Human Rights Watch, warn that depriving civilians of essential goods could amount to a war crime.
