Tanker tank detaches and rolls back at Chinese intersection

At an intersection in China's Hunan province, the tank section of a tanker truck separated from the towing vehicle. Because the road sloped uphill, the tank began rolling back toward the intersection, and the driver grabbed onto it before the vehicle eventually stopped. No injuries were reported. Authorities have asked for inspections after a series of large-vehicle accidents linked to coupling failures, and warned people not to try stopping such a tank with bare hands.

交差点運転手が大騒動　中国 　ドライブレコーダーに記録されていたのはタンクローリーのタンク部分が外れて走り去る様子です。 　しかしこれは、まさかの事態の始まりにすぎませんでした。 　撮影されたのは中国・湖南省の交差点。突然、牽引（けんいん）車からタンクが分離するのを目にし、バイクの男性が慌てて飛びのきます。 　タンクの表面には「腐食性物質」などを表すマークが…。危険物を運んでいるのでしょうか。 　目を疑う光景は、これだけではありませんでした。なんと、進んだ先が上り坂だったため、タンクが交差点へと戻り始めてしまったのです。 　タンクローリーの運転手が気付いてしがみ付いたものの、もはや“なす術なし”でしたが、この後なんとか止まり、けが人はいませんでした。 　中国ではここ最近、連結部の故障によるトレーラーなど大型車両の事故が相次いでいるといいます。 　今回のアクシデントを受けて当局は事前の点検を求めるとともに、「決して素手で止めようとしないで下さい」と呼び掛けています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
