Tohoku Shinkansen services suspended between Tokyo and Morioka due to overhead line obstruction (November 8, 2026)

Tohoku Shinkansen services in both directions between Tokyo and Morioka stations have been suspended after an obstruction was found on the overhead wire between Koriyama and Fukushima stations. According to JR East, staff are heading to the site. Service is expected to resume around 9:00 a.m. on the 8th.
