Expert sees possible US military move against Tehran before congressional elections

Dr. Mohammed al-Sharqawi, a professor of international conflict resolution, assesses a shift in US President Donald Trump's stance toward Tehran. He describes efforts by senior officials to combine an economic isolation plan with intense military pressure. Reported options under discussion include a limited ground landing on Kharg Island to halt Iranian oil exports. The analysis also links direct contacts by Benjamin Netanyahu to renewed talk of a surprise strike before the congressional elections, with timing still subject to Washington's assessments.
