Trump says US removed Iran's ability to build any nuclear weapon

US President Donald Trump told supporters at a campaign rally that the United States had removed Iran's ability to build any nuclear weapon. He signaled that the war could be nearing its end and said it had been necessary. The remarks came three or four days before the November 3 election, amid polls showing Democratic gains in the House and a tighter Senate race. The diplomatic signal comes as the military option remains open, according to a Wall Street Journal report on new strike options presented to Trump after the vote.
