Political analyst: Trump knows Iran's military capabilities have collapsed and Tehran has no option but to negotiate

Gabriel Sooma, a former member of President Donald Trump's campaign advisory board, says Trump's firm tone reflects his view that Iran has no effective military options left. According to Sooma, Tehran lost most of its defensive, air and naval capabilities after the clashes in February, and its military bases were damaged. The main obstacle to ending the war, he says, is Iran's refusal so far to sign a peace agreement pledging not to produce a nuclear weapon. Trump, he adds, insists on not halting the war until talks resume and a decisive deal is reached.
