Trump’s Weird Abortion Flip-Flopping, Explained by a Doctor

Donald Trump's public statements on abortion over the years are examined in this commentary video from Mama Doctor Jones. The host argues that Trump has changed his position several times, from being pro-choice in the 1990s to later remarks about the overturn of Roe v. Wade and the 2022 midterm elections. The video also covers the claim that his stance on abortion is shaped by audience reactions and fundraising. The video includes a timeline of Trump's abortion opinions and clips from CBS News, along with a discussion of the "states' issue" framing.

Look, I know we’re all tired of this subject and this weird orange man by now, but we have to keep the energy up through November and beyond. Today, let’s talk about Trump’s abortion opinions - by which I mean the way he has changed his opinion MANY TIMES to appeal to whatever audience is currently right in front of him and/or filling his coffers. From being pro-choice in the '90s all the way through seeming to regret how the overturn of Roe v. Wade decimated his party in the 2022 midterms, let’s definitively show that Trump’s only motivation on this issue (and, I suspect, every issue) is to get claps, praise, and attention.
