Typhoon No. 30 becomes extratropical low as autumn rain front intensifies, heavy rain alert across wide area

Typhoon No. 30 turned into an extratropical low at 9 p.m. on October 25. The autumn rain front extending from this low is bringing heavy rain alerts to a wide area on October 26. Warm, moist air from the south is feeding the front's activity. Wakayama recorded 68 millimeters of very heavy rain in one hour on October 25, the highest for October on record.

台風30号は25日の午後9時に温帯低気圧に変わりましたが、秋雨前線の影響で26日も広い範囲で大雨に警戒が必要です。 　台風から変わった低気圧やそこから延びる秋雨前線に向かって南から暖かく湿った空気が流れ込み、前線の活動が活発化しています。 　25日は和歌山で、10月としては観測史上最大となる1時間に68ミリの非常に激しい雨を観測しました。 　26日は西日本から東日本の広い範囲で激しい雨が降るとみられ、大雨による土砂災害や低い土地の浸水、河川の増水に警戒が必要です。 　27日朝にかけて降る雨の量は、いずれも多い所で四国が200ミリ、関東甲信は150ミリ、近畿は120ミリなどとなっています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
