Uniqlo reverses decision to end bulk sock discount

Uniqlo has reversed its decision to end the bulk purchase offer on socks. The company had earlier announced that the deal, which allowed multiple pairs at a set price, would end and that colour socks would rise to 390 yen per pair, citing rising costs and the weak yen. The parent company, Fast Retailing, said socks are a symbolic everyday essential and that the bulk offer would continue after further review. Colour socks will remain at 290 yen per pair.

ユニクロは、靴下の「まとめ買い終了」を撤回しました。 　ユニクロは今月16日に、カラーソックスを4足990円、そのほかのソックスは3足990円で購入できる「まとめ買い」を来月10日から取りやめ、カラーソックスは1足390円に値上げすると発表していました。 　理由はコストの上昇や円安の影響でした。 　しかし、27日、「まとめ買いの終了」を撤回し、カラーソックスは1足290円に据え置くと明らかにしました。 　親会社のファーストリテイリングによりますと、「靴下は生活必需品の象徴的な商品でもあるため、さらなる検討を行った結果、まとめ買いの継続を決定した」としています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
