US elections: court dispute over citizenship of more than 20,000 California voters

A federal judge has ordered the US Justice Department to disclose to two rights groups a list of more than 20,000 voters in California whose citizenship the Trump administration has questioned. The purpose is to verify the accuracy of the data and whether it includes eligible citizens who can vote. The ruling comes just days before the midterm elections.
