Wild boars dig up Igo rice terraces and eat drying rice – Akita-Ota, Hiroshima

Wild boar damage has been reported at the Igo rice terraces in Aki-Ota, Hiroshima, which is listed among Japan's 100 Best Rice Terraces. Although the harvest season has passed, rice plants left to dry were torn off and eaten. A local resident said the area, which had been kept tidy, was dug up by the animals. The report also shows boars on a road at night in Hiroshima city and walking through a residential area with young ones.
