On the morning of the 21st, a man came into contact with a moving Yamagata Shinkansen at JR Takayoshi Station in Yamagata Prefecture. The station is unstaffed and has no platform screen doors, and the train was passing through at the time. The man suffered multiple fractures but is not in life-threatening condition.
