Yokohama mayoral election: Atsumi Harasawa wins first term

A Yokohama mayoral election was held after the previous mayor resigned mid-term following a power harassment finding by a third-party committee. Newcomer Atsumi Harasawa won with 552,207 votes, more than 320,000 ahead of the runner-up. Seven candidates ran, and turnout was 45.56%, up 3.92 points from the previous election.
