Mary Beth Lindsey is an actor, singer, performer, and community advocate serving as Education & Prevention Manager for Solace Sexual Assault Services in Santa Fe, where she's also a well-known local emcee performing as Miss Anita Whiskey. In her talk, Mary Beth points to a striking disconnect: the professionals leading sexual assault recovery work are rarely the demographic most often responsible for perpetrating it. Drawing on CDC research, she makes the case for a different, more coordinated response to what she argues is a public health crisis touching all of us.
