* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Greenville County, South Carolina — On September 4th, 2026, at approximately 3:40 a.m., deputies had finished clearing an unrelated traffic stop when one deputy saw a man, later identified as 42-year-old Walter Jason Smith, in the intersection of Paige Drive and White Horse Road. As the deputy turned his vehicle, he observed Smith pointing a gun at him. The deputy fired multiple rounds at Smith, who then turned around and ran in the opposite direction. Following the initial gunfire, Smith ran into a nearby field as backup arrived. As the initial deputy ran to get cover behind the backup deputy's car, he was shot and as a result, deputies fired back and struck Smith. Following the shooting, deputies moved in to apprehend Smith in the field across from Paige Drive and White Horse Road. Medical assistance was provided until EMS arrived and transported Smith to the hospital for treatment. Agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division conducted a third-party investigation, and charged Smith with 2 counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by persons convicted of certain crimes, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Smith was later booked at the Greenwood County Detention Center. He is being held without bond. Smith's gun was collected by agents of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and seized as evidence. Investigators revealed Smith has a long history with law enforcement dating back to 2001, including dozens of charges, many of which are drug-related. Less than a month before the shooting, Smith was charged with assaulting, beating, or wounding a police officer while resisting arrest. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly out on bond. The injured deputy is expected to make a full recovery. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Clood' - Efrain - 'The Fraternal Order book' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
